Kelly’s Story

I am not your typical Medium. I did not recognize or fully step into my abilities until much later in life. An unexpected and beautiful path brought me here, and I had no idea that it was quietly unfolding all along.

I was lucky enough to be raised in the same home as my grandparents, and next door to my big, extended Italian family. I grew up with a lot of love, and learned by example to seek out and care for those in need, and to be humble and grounded. I was also raised with faith and a reverence for the divine.

My career path was quite eclectic. I graduated from college with honors in biology as a published scientific author, and went to work for a major pharmaceutical company in vaccine research. The rigorous scientific method, including its demand for concrete evidence, satisfied my logical, structured mind.

An unlikely and irresistible opportunity arose for me to become a news/weather anchor, reporter, and talk show host for a local television station. I took a leap of faith, left my comfort zone, and entered a thrilling new environment. Writing and producing my own news segments and talk shows taught me how to think on my feet, and helped me to stretch my creative wings. Aside from traditional news, I thrived being out in the community covering a vast array of local interest stories, from polka festivals to a roller coaster wedding!

Motivated by a growing desire to serve those in need, I attended law school. True to my nature, I found that the intricacies of legal writing appealed to me, as did the art of building an evidential and persuasive case, particularly through oral argument. I worked with first year students as a legal writing teaching assistant and competed on my University’s national moot court team. After graduation, I entered private practice as a family law attorney. Law is rooted in facts and evidence, which, like science, perfectly suited my left-brained, rational mind. But it was the privilege of advocating for my clients, who trusted me to guide them through the most difficult moments of their lives, that I found most fulfilling.

After I became a mother, I left the courtroom and my career goals behind temporarily while I raised our son. We were then blessed with another son, and eventually, a daughter. My children became my world, and my greatest teachers. I discovered that there is no limit to the amount of love I could feel. As a mom, I had to learn to “go with the flow” and to be in the moment, which, it turns out, are vital skills for a Medium. Being a mother also taught me valuable life lessons you can’t learn in books: unlike science and law, life often defies logic, chaos does indeed multiply, and control is an illusion!

After my dear grandfather passed, he and Spirit began to gently nudge me towards my soul’s true path. I had always believed in something greater than this physical world, but when I started experiencing clear signs that my grandfather was still around me, I felt drawn from deep within myself to explore, read, and seek as much information as I could to validate his continued presence in my life. My logical mind always demanded evidence and sought rational explanations every time he tried to communicate with me. Nonetheless, the inexplicable signs and synchronicities were becoming more frequent and harder to ignore, or to dismiss as mere coincidence. I was shifting, but did not fully realize what was unfolding.

The passings of my grandmother and her sister, my great-aunt, who were like second mothers to me, finally aligned me with my soul’s path. The time was right. I felt pulled to begin a dedicated meditation practice, which helped me find peace amidst life as a busy mother, but also naturally evolved into something much more. To my surprise, I could sense and feel presences around me, they could impress my mind with information that would later be validated, and I was experiencing precognition. I could see images in my mind’s eye and hear words spoken to me by my Spirit guides. Ever the wisest teachers, they would drop names of books, authors, and spiritual concepts into my awareness, none of which I’d heard of, that I would then locate and study. It defied logic that this was happening, and yet, it was as natural as my child whispering into my ear.

Ironically, in order for Mediumship to flourish, it takes an energetic shift away from the rational thinking mind and toward something far more subtle and inspired (yet still evidential). It also requires a shift away from the ego’s need for order and control and toward surrender, allowing Spirit to lead.

As the seemingly unrelated chapters of my life converged, I ultimately discovered that my true calling on earth is as a Medium, connecting people with their loved ones who have passed, serving both the Spirit world and those in need. With my scientific and legal backgrounds being premised upon evidence, the practice of Evidential Mediumship deeply resonates with me for its high standard of providing clear, accurate, and specific information that can be validated as true. To me, it’s the best of both worlds, and the best way to serve both worlds!

In fully embracing my abilities and dedicating my life to serving the Spirit world and those in grief, my soul has grown in ways I had never imagined. I have spent years diligently developing and fine tuning my abilities, and have trained under some of the most accurate and well respected Mediums working today, including Suzanne Giesemann, Colin Bates, and Michael Mayo and Megan Alisa of The Oakbridge Institute for Mediumistic and Psychical Studies. I uphold the highest standards of ethics and compassion for my clients. It is an honor to be able to do this sacred work. In demonstrating that our loved ones continue on after so-called “death,” Mediumship can provide the seeds of healing and hope for those who seek it.

In closing, I want you to know that we, as spiritual beings having a human experience, are connected to something far greater than what we are aware of in this limited physical existence. We are loved and supported beyond measure on our life journeys by the Spirit world and yes, our loved ones who have gone before us. Your loved ones are not gone, but have simply changed form, shifting to a different, higher frequency. As a Medium, I am able to move my awareness to this frequency. I use my psychic senses and Spirit’s language of feeling and inspiration to bring forward their essences and their messages of love to those here on earth.  They are as eager to communicate with you as you are with them, and to show you that they are still part of your life. While nothing replaces their physical presence, it is possible to build a new kind of relationship with them, and to move forward in your earthly life with the comfort of knowing that one day, you too will be welcomed “home.

XO, Kelly
